I had a splendid time at Dragon*Con just riding the elevators in the Marriot Marquis up and down. They were like glass rocket ships! VROOOM!!!
I’m back from Dragon*Con and life suddenly seems very dull. I spent the weekend with tens of thousands of friendly people who spoke in a variety of interesting accents and wore the most fascinating outfits. Some carried swords, hammers, bows, and even guns, but no one wanted to fight, just make merry and take photos. The universe could take a lesson from that. The hotels that hosted Dragon*Con were cavernous and truly felt bigger on the inside. I’m not sure how everyone would’ve fit in there on Saturday night otherwise. What a party!
I also made hundreds of new friends. Hello out there! If you took photos of me and Alisa, feel free to post and tag them. Oh, and Alisa had a great time at the art show. She sold lots of robots and jewelry and got some great ideas for next year’s show. We can’t wait!
Hello new friends and thank-you so much for following me! It has been an incredible week for Alisa and me, and the TARDIS could not have arrived at a better time. We’re packing up Alisa’s art now and will be heading down to Atlanta tomorrow!
Come say hi to us in the Artists’ Bazaar where Alisa will be selling jewelry, mini robots, magnets and other wonderfully nerdy stuff. Find her at Table BT38 which is up against one of the walls. She’ll also have some larger sculptures and jewelry sets in the Art Show Auction. You can also see us in the Dragon*Con Parade on Saturday.
If you can’t make it to Dragon*Con, you can still find Alisa on Facebook, and her Etsy Shop will be will stocked with robots and jewelry in September. Thanks again!
Sorry I’ve been away, but it’s been just too hot out to do much traveling. Take it on my authority that New York City has been like the surface of Venus for the past few weeks.
I’ve been spending my days inside with my companion, Alisa, helping her make jewelry and art. She’ll be selling her work at Dragon*Con next month in the Art Show and Artist’s Bazaar. If I modeled some of her jewelry she promised she would make me a TARDIS when she’s done! She also makes these little robot sculptures, but I don’t care for them much because they remind me of Cybermen. Who would want one of those?
